According to Statistics Canada, the Saskatchewan unemployment rate for January 2012 was 5.1 percent. This is an increase of 0.4 percentage points from the December 2011 rate of 4.7 percent but 0.5 percentage points lower than the January 2011 level of 5.6 percent.
