The Saskatchewan unemployment rate for February 2016 was 6.9 percent.  This is 0.2 percentage points higher than February 2016 and 2.0 percentage points higher than the February 2015 level of 4.9 percent.

According to Statistics Canada, the Saskatchewan All-items Consumer Price Index increased 1.3 percent between March 2015 and March 2016, while the Canada All-items Index increased 1.3 percent.

Saskatchewan's population was 1,142,570 on January 1, 2016. This represents an increase of 3,691 persons from the October 1, 2015 population of 1,138,879 and 13,509 more than the January 1, 2015 population of 1,129,061.
