Labour Force Survey  01/05/2018
The Saskatchewan unemployment rate for December 2017 was 6.2 percent.  This is an increase of 0.5 percentage points from the November 2017 rate of 5.7 percent but remained unchanged from the December 2016 level of 6.2 percent. full story

Consumer Price Index 12/21/2017
According to Statistics Canada, the Saskatchewan All-items Consumer Price Index increased 3.7 percent between November 2016 and November 2017, while the Canada All-items Index increased 2.1 percent.

Saskatchewan's population was 1,168,057 on October 1, 2017. This represents an increase of 4,132 persons from the July 1, 2017 population of 1,163,925 and 14,447 more than the October 1, 2016 population of 1,153,590.
