Labour Force Survey  09/09/2016 
The Saskatchewan unemployment rate for August 2016 was 6.8 percent.  This is 0.5 percentage points higher than July 2016 and 0.8 percentage points higher than the August 2015 level of 6.0 percent.

Consumer Price Index 09/23/2016
According to Statistics Canada, the Saskatchewan All-items Consumer Price Index increased 0.7 percent between August 2015 and August 2016, while the Canada All-items Index increased 1.1 percent.

2015 Annual Averages

Saskatchewan's population was 1,146,655 on April 1, 2016. This represents an increase of 4,085 persons from the January 1, 2016 population of 1,142,257 and 16,118 more than the April 1, 2015 population of 1,130,537.
